VoteBrother is a lean, focused organization built around one mission: registering Black men to vote at scale. Every person on this team was chosen because they believe that mission is worth their best work.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE MOVEMENT

Eric L. Mayberry
Executive Director

One of the most experienced media executives in America. A Wharton School alumnus, member of Penn’s 1985 Ivy League Championship football team and a coach on the 2010 Ivy League Championship Sprint football team. Eric has spent four decades building, turning around, and leading media organizations across print, digital, and broadcast. As President and Publisher of Metro Philadelphia Newspaper, he drove a turn-around that cemented Metro in Philadelphia – improving financial performance by more than 27 percent. He co-created PhillyFeed — recognized by NPR and the Wall Street Journal as one of America’s first newspaper-produced podcasts in 2005.  He was selected by the Urban League of Philadelphia as Business Leader of the Year and his face is was added to the wall at The Palm Restaurant in Philadelphia. He has successfully directed business in America and Europe and helped launch the Chinese version of Science Weekly Magazine in Shanghai and Beijing.  He created VoteBrother in 2026 in direct response to the Supreme Court’s gutting of the Voting Rights Act.

“The gap is growing, the data is undeniable, and the window to act is right now.

How We Work

WHAT DRIVES THIS TEAM

🎯
Mission First

Every decision starts with one question: does this register more Brothers? If the answer is no, we don’t do it.

📊
Data Driven

We track every registration, every dollar, and every outcome. No guesswork. No performative action. Just measurable impact.

🤝
Brotherhood

This organization was built to register Black men. Every decision we make reflects that responsibility.
