VOTEBROTHER
CAMPUS AMBASSADORS.

We don’t lecture. We register. We don’t campaign. We activate. One campus, one conversation, one Brother at a time. If you’re a student at an HBCU and you believe Black men deserve a voice in this democracy, this program was built for you.

Why This Matters

THE MOST POWERFUL
REGISTRATION TOOL
IN AMERICA.

HBCUs are the most strategic registration environment in America. They concentrate young Black men in high-trust, high-density communities with existing organizational infrastructure – fraternities, student government, athletic programs, and faith communities.

A single well-run ambassador program at Morehouse or Howard can produce more registrations than a citywide digital campaign at a fraction of the cost. That is why VoteBrother is building its ground game on HBCU campuses first.

We don’t lecture. We register. We don’t campaign. We activate. One campus, one conversation, one Brother at a time.

– VoteBrother Campus Ambassador Mission Statement

25%
Black Male Youth Turnout 2024

The lowest of any demographic group in America. Campus Ambassadors exist to change this number.

6M
Unregistered Black Men

Six million eligible Black men not registered to vote. HBCUs are where we start closing that gap.

101
HBCUs in America

We are building campus programs at all 101 HBCUs by end of Year 2. Year 1 starts with 10.

3min
To Register

That is all it takes. Ambassadors make it happen in dorms, dining halls, barbershops, and locker rooms.

How We Operate

THREE RULES THAT NEVER CHANGE

📍
Meet Brothers Where They Are

Not in auditoriums. In dorms, dining halls, barbershops, and basketball courts. Where they already are. That is where registration happens.

⚡
Make It Easy, Not Preachy

A Brother should be able to register in the time it takes to tie his shoes. No lecture. No guilt. No politics. Just three minutes and a device.

🤝
Peer to Peer Always Wins

A student trusts another student more than any organization. That is why every ambassador is a peer – not a staffer, not an organizer. A fellow student.

Program Structure

THREE TIERS. ONE MISSION.

Every student can participate at the level that fits their time and commitment. From 5 hours a week to 5 minutes – every registration counts.

The Ground Game

8 TACTICS THAT WIN REGISTRATIONS

Every tactic is designed to meet Brothers where they already are. No rally. No petition. Just peer-to-peer registration where life happens.

1
The Dorm Drop

Canvas dorms in the first two weeks of each semester – the highest-traffic window of the year. QR codes, tablets, one-on-one conversations at entry points and common areas. Goal: register every unregistered male student in the building.

2
The Dining Hall Blitz

Table at the busiest dining hall during peak lunch hours. Two ambassadors minimum – one engages, one handles the tablet. Goal: 20 registrations per two-hour session, three sessions per week.

3
The Barbershop Partnership

Partner with the campus barber – offer VoteBrother gear to wear in the shop, hang a QR code poster, keep a tablet near the register. The barber becomes a VoteBrother Civic Barber. Highest-conversion tactic in the program.

4
The Greek Chapter Challenge

Partner with all five NPHC fraternities. Each chapter competes to register the most Brothers. Winning chapter gets named recognition on votebrother.org and a chapter donation. Greeks recruit their own – VoteBrother supplies the infrastructure.

5
The Athletic Locker Room

Work with team captains and coaches for a 5-minute registration drive before or after practice. One registered athlete who talks publicly about registering is worth 20 flyers on a bulletin board.

6
The Class Presentation

Request 5-minute slots in Political Science, African American Studies, and History classes. One ambassador, one tablet, one QR code. Make the pitch and register anyone who wants to on the spot.

7
The Homecoming Push

Homecoming is the highest-traffic weekend of the year. Registration tables at step shows, tailgates, alumni events, and the game itself. All ambassadors on deck. Target: 500 registrations per campus per Homecoming weekend.

8
The Peer Text

Ambassadors personally text 10 Brothers – not a mass blast, a personal message. ‘Took me 3 minutes. You registered?’ with the link. Personal outreach converts at 3-5x the rate of mass messaging.

Friendly Competition

THE CAMPUS CHALLENGE

Campuses compete against each other in real time. A live leaderboard on VoteBrother.org shows registrations by campus, updated every Monday. Competition drives urgency. Urgency drives registrations.
